Dia Dhuit (“hello” in Gaelic)! My name is Brendan, and I’m a Nationally Qualified Tour Guide. I was born and raised in Dublin, and while my family has lived here for four generations, Dubliners like to joke that I’m still considered a “blow-in”!

I’ve always been passionate about the stories of the people who have shaped this city. I’m fascinated by Dublin’s statues, sculptures, and street names, each holding its own bit of history and meaning.

Dublin has an incredible past, filled with early Christian monks, Vikings, Gaelic lords, and Irish rebels. Whatever your interest—be it historic architecture, literary pubs, or the bustling energy of a modern European city—I’ll bring Dublin’s stories to life for you.

As a runner, I’ve completed the Dublin Marathon 15 times, covering nearly every cobblestone in the city. I’ve cycled Dublin’s hills and swum in Dublin Bay, but what I enjoy most is walking its streets and sharing its history, culture, and charm with visitors.

Come along with me, and we’ll explore the lives and stories of Dublin’s playwrights, poets, and patriots. And don’t forget to ask me about the story behind Dublin’s famous green post boxes—I’d love to share it with you!

Our guides name was Brendan and he was absolutely FANTASTIC!! He knew so much about the history of Dublin, which was exactly what we were looking for. He even took time to look up my moms Irish family crest shield and explain what everything meant on it! I would highly recommend this tour if you are looking to learn about the history of Ireland and how it came to be.

Brendan was a knowledgeable and personable guide. He customized the tour for our preferences and needs.. resulting in him spending additional time with us.. beyond what he had committed. He researched our possible Irish Ancestry making for interesting conversations, offered a locals knowledge on everything from Oscar Wilde tidbits, to government operations, to artists displayed in the National Gallery.
